Jim Murphy is an independent Executive Leadership and Transformational Life Coach. He combines the insight gleaned from his life experience with his learning from Georgetown University’s exceptional coaching program to help his clients manifest profound change.

His own leadership roles include founding two successful strategic consulting practices; heading up a DC-based public affairs firm as its President and Managing Partner; and serving as a top staff member to a US Senator on Capitol Hill. In these capacities, he has worked with dozens of corporate and political leaders, and is known for developing deep and strong relationships. His patient ear and calm demeanor — along with a true commitment to confidentiality — have made him a trusted source of advice and counsel for many.

This extensive experience is now further enhanced by his formal training at Georgetown University’s Institute for Transformational Leadership, where he enrolled in its rigorous eight month coaching program. This Executive Certificate in Leadership Coaching will qualify him to be accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

For decades, Jim Murphy has been a trusted advisor to leaders and colleagues in both the private and public sectors, guiding them through times of reflection, change, and challenge.

Now, in addition to this extensive experience, he is currently earning an Executive Certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University’s Institute for Transformational Leadership. Upon successful completion of this program in mid-2023, he will be eligible to seek accreditation from the International Coaching Federation as a certified ICF professional coach.
